While I typically throw a little bit of whatever I have into my blender to make a smoothie, I always enjoy them more when I actually follow a tried and true recipe (profound concept, I know). My all-time favorite, packed full of superfoods and delicious taste, is this Magic Smoothie.

They come in different dimensions depending on the thickness of the liquid you're planning on sipping (GENIUS!), so make sure you buy the right one for your preference.

Makes 2 servings
1 sliced ripe banana
2 cups mixed frozen berries
1 cup raw or frozen spinach (other greens work as well)
a 1-inch piece of fresh ginger
1 Tbls. ground psyllium husk
1 Tbls. ground flax seed
1 cup crushed ice
1 cup coconut milk
Water to thin if desired
Blend together in a blender, starting on low, then moving to high (if your blender has settings). I enjoy mine with the 12mm smoothie-sized Glass Dharma straw.
