test, don’t guess!

Utilizing one or more of these comprehensive labs helps us find answers quickly and allows me to make effective recommendations and protocols. Curious about which I would recommend for your unique health journey? Let’s hop on a quick call to see how I can best support you.

GI-MAP STOOL TEST

We always start here. Even with no obvious digestive symptoms. True health and optimal body function begin in the gut. Gastrointestinal health is foundational to fertility and perinatal health in that we often see hormone imbalances or other blocking factors like chronic inflammation and nutritional deficiencies completely resolve after implementing gut-healing protocols. An optimal microbiome is essential for proper hormone deactivation, detoxification, and overall elimination. When it’s not working properly, hormone ratios can be wildly disrupted and the perfect homeostasis required for optimal perinatal health can’t be reached. Even a perfect diet and supplement regimen can’t work in your favor if you aren’t properly digesting and absorbing on a functional level.
The GI-MAP is a one-collection stool test. $325

HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis)

Minerals are key for health! HTMA is a simple and non-invasive pathology test that allows us to see how your tissues are doing in terms of both beneficial/nutrient and toxic minerals. While blood chemistry gives us a quick ‘in the moment’ snapshot, hair tissue mineral analysis lets us investigate your mineral status over the last 90 days, ensuring we see the fullest picture available to us. When used alongside a comprehensive blood panel, we can begin to discern what and when the blood is pulling from your tissues or hiding any excess minerals and metals. Blood chemistry can fluctuate depending on things like hydration status and where you’re at in your cycle, so utilizing HTMA and blood panels together can be a powerful predictor of health outcomes.
HTMA requires a 1-inch hair root sample. $75

BLood chemistry

Not your average blood panel. For your comprehensive blood panel, we’ll do a deep dive into customized specific markers and then analyze them through functional lab ranges specified for optimal reproductive health, which are narrower than most conventional lab testing ranges. Blood sugar, full thyroid panel, homocysteine, vitamin D…
$238 (Price does not include potential blood draw fees.)

MRT-170 food sensitivities

Take the guesswork out of food reactions. The MRT is the “foundation of fully addressing food sensitivities and achieving the maximum outcomes in the shortest period of time.” This blood test looks at 170 different foods and food chemicals and confirms your body’s unique reactivity to those foods. By removing those foods from your diet (ideally only temporarily), we can make huge strides in lowering inflammation and healing the gut, especially alongside a GI-MAP test protocol. The MRT reveals the sources of inflammation within the diet, while the GI-MAP shows how the digestive system is impaired. It’s a really beautiful and healing combination.
$355 (Price does not include potential blood draw fees.)

DUTCH Complete +/- Cycle mapping

Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones — a.k.a. the most extensive profile of sex and adrenal hormones along with their metabolites. Also included: your daily pattern of free cortisol, along with melatonin, 8-OHdG (a biomarker that measures the effect of endogenous oxidative damage to DNA), and six organic acids (DUTCH). When we add in the Cycle Mapping option, you’ll take samples throughout the entire length of one menstrual cycle, helping us to determine hormone patterns throughout your unique cycle — and therefore getting us closer to unveiling potential root causes of fertility frustrations.
Urine Test - DUTCH Complete $300 - with Cycle Mapping $495

Organic Acids Test (OAT)

Dubbed the ‘king of all lab tests.’ The GPL OAT (Organic Acids Test) evaluates over 70 urinary metabolites that can be useful for discovering underlying causes of chronic illness, imbalance and distress in the body. The wealth of information provided by the biomarkers analyzed in the OAT gives insights into metabolic pathways involved with reproductive health and points to what could be causing poor sperm or egg health. Metabolic insufficiencies are often a hidden cause of fertility problems. The OAT can also be used to detect rare inborn genetic defects of metabolism.
Urine Test $270

semen analysis

Semen analysis from the comfort of your own home. Test for semen volume, sperm concentration, count, motility, total motile sperm count, and sperm morphology through the “only peer-reviewed, clinically valid, mail-in semen analysis” (Fellow). Since the male contributes 50% of the genomic material to the embryo and placenta, the integrity of the sperm is essential for conception as well as the maintenance of a successful pregnancy (source).
Semen Analysis $189
